End of an era.

The previous images are the result of my past three years at Nottingham Trent University.
Currently in its second week of exhibition at Bohunk Institute in Nottingham running through until the 6th of June 2013.

‘Sisters’ explores the attributes that are being reinstated within patriarchal structure by exploring aesthetic culture and the female as object; whilst simultaneously echoing pre-established associations between youth, femininity, and nature. The integration of such forms within the work provides pauses for contemplation of the subjects, and representation within the work as a whole.

The objectification of the female form is a fundamental aspect to the production of the work in ‘Sisters’. By employing romanticized imagery of females in the form of portraits that intersect with the presence of nature, the artifacts that are created provide unique and imperfect representations of their subjects that maintain a high level of aesthetic allure.

Many thanks to those of you who have already come down to view the work on display... why not check out the rest of the Festival at www.wearespectrum.co.uk
